Trash & Recycling Service
Bulk Item Pick-Up
- Republic will provide bulk item curbside collection on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month for all areas of the City.
- To schedule a pick up, please call 903-986-5324.
Collection may include up to two bulk items (sofas, mattresses, washing machines, etc.) - Republic Services will not accept any items with freon.
Trash Services
- Trash services are provided by Republic Services.
- Trash services are required at each metered location under Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances.
Trash will be picked up once per week and is based on your address:
- Addresses on Broadway (Even Numbers) and North - Monday
- Addresses on Broadway (Odd Numbers) and South - Tuesday
- All trash must be bagged and placed inside the cart.
- Carts should be placed at the curb no later than 6 am on your service day.
- Additional trash carts are available for order at an additional cost per month. Call City Hall
- Carts must be at least 3 feet away from any other objects; mailboxes, parked vehicles, meters, fire hydrants, utility poles, etc
- Personal containers cannot be used and Republic Services will not be responsible for damage to personal containers.
- Broken and/or damaged carts will be replaced or repaired by Republic Services.
- Stolen carts will be replaced after the resident files a police report.
- Carts are numbered and are the property of Republic Services and must remain at the designated address.
- Leaves should be dry and securely bagged (20 bag limit per pickup day). Bundles should be securely tied and should weigh no more than 35 lbs.
Trash Service Assistance for the Disabled
Assistance will be provided to households that have no able-bodied person to transport the cart to the curb and back.

Recycling Services - The Republic Services recycling facility is up and running!
If you canceled your recycle service after the facility burned down in June 2024, you need to request that service be added back.
- There is no additional charge for recycling pickup.
Recycling Pick-Up is the 1st & 3rd Wednesday Only

Brush & Limb Dump
The "99 Acres" Brush Dump is currently open only on Fridays, from 8am - noon. (excluding City holidays)
** Tree cutters and lawn services shall not bring brush from the County into the Green waste disposal **
